Ashkelon: Police arrest 40 haredim, some suspected of arson

Police have arrested 40 ultra-Orthodox protestors of the new hospital wing in Ashkelon, 15 of them on suspicion they torched a nearby field.
The 15 arson suspects are thought to have arrived in Ashkelon by bus from Jerusalem and torched the field after disembarking. Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly, and police say a disaster was prevented. (Shmulik Hadad)
