Remand of 17 haredim who rioted in Ashkelon extended

The Kiryat Gat Magistrate's Court has extended the remand of 16 out of 17 ultra-Orthodox detainees who were arrested on Sunday during riots against the removal of graves from the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon, until Thursday.
The detainees turned their back to the judge and were removed from the room after refusing to face him. The court has appointed the suspects a public defender, with whom they refuse to cooperate. (Tova Dadon)
