Barak on graves relocation: Security needs won

None

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that in the relocation of graves at Barzilai Medical Center, security needs had taken precedence, claiming that the decision to relocate had been taken thanks to the Labor Party, which did not allow the government to avoid the issue.

"A great effort was made to reduce suspicions and start proximity talks with the Palestinians," he added. "It's a sensitive period, which should lead to two states. The process demands cool thinking and we'll have to cope with challenges and hard decisions. Those lamenting the passing of the Labor Party – rumors of its demise are premature. We have a great past and a promising future." (Attila Somfalvi)
