Eda Haredit: We'd protest relocation of any Jewish grave
None
Dozens took part in the Eda Haredit protest rally in Jerusalem's Geula neighborhood against the relocation of graves at Ashkelon's Barzilai Medical Center.
The event, which included readings from the Book of Psalms and speeches, passed quietly – but in nearby streets some young haredi men disturbed the peace, burning garbage containers and attacking journalists and passersby. Chairman of the Atra Kadisha organization, Rabbi David Shmidel, who is leading the haredi protest against the grave relocation, declared that they would protest such acts even if they dug up soldiers' graves or the grave of any other Jews.
