Interior Ministry: Civil Administration denied Chomsky's entry
The Interior Ministry said Sunday that the Coordination and Liaison Authority and the Civil Administration were those who informed the ministry about not permitting the entry of Professor Noam Chomsky into Israel and therefore prevented him from crossing the Allenby Bridge.
Elements in the Interior Ministry said that following the recommendation it was decided not to allow Chomsky to enter Israel. However, a security source told Ynet that the ministry's decision was made independently and against protocol. The Coordination and Liaison Authority and the Civil Administration said they were not approached by the Interior Ministry regarding the matter. (Shmulik Grossman)
