VIDEO - A Jerusalem resident claims he was attacked by Palestinians for no apparent reason last Wednesday.
After deciding to head back home from the Emek Zurim Park, Yonatan Shemla, 28, and his friends were attacked by three Palestinians who smashed the window shields of the taxi they were in, and pelted it with stones, one of which hit him in the head.
"On the way home near Mount Scopus the taxi stopped and suddenly 20-25-year-old youngsters broke the window and began hurling stones at us, as though they ambushed us in advance," Shemla related.
"After I got to the hospital I had five stitches for a deep laceration caused by the broken glass shrapnel." He claimed that police took 40 minutes to arrive at the scene.
"The officers asked us what happened. It didn't really matter to them that Palestinians did these things to us, and worse yet the whole thing was for no reason," he said.
"They didn't even take any details in order to inform us of the investigation results, which as it seems would not even take place. It's disrespect for human life. Someone needs to pay attention to the raving violence."
No comment was received from the police.
