MK Peretz: Gov't should maintain freeze for negotiations' duration

Former Defense Minister and Knesset Member Amir Peretz demanded on Monday the government maintain the construction freeze in the West Bank so long as negotiations are being held with the Palestinians. He made the statements during a Labor faction political discussion in which he further urged the State to declare that the basis for peace talks was the Arab plan.
"Such decisions, on the government's part, would encourage the Palestinians to carry on with negotiations for an agreement," he stated. (Attila Somfalvi)
