PA urges US to compel Israel to 'cease provocations'

Special US envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Chief Palestinian Negotiator Saeb Erekat in Ramallah Saturday.

The Palestinians expressed their hope that the US administration would be able to compel Israel to "cease its provocations," i.e. – arrests, settlement expansions and other polices which create de facto realities. (Ali Waked)
