German FM to discuss proximity talks during Mideast visit

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is scheduled to hold a tour of the Middle East later this week in order to discuss proximity talks between Israel and the Palestinians, his spokesman announced Wednesday.
Westerwelle will arrive in the region on Friday and will visit Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Syria. (AFP)
