Ministers to vote on aggravating prison conditions of Hamas prisoners

The Knesset's Ministerial Committee on Sunday will vote on a bill that is meant to aggravate the imprisonment conditions of Hamas prisoners in Israel. The vote will take place after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu removed his objection to the bill a few weeks ago.
The bill is expected to be approved by the committee, and will then be brought to the Knesset plenum for approval. Aggravating the prison conditions is meant to apply pressure on Hamas over the stalemate in the talks to release kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit. (Aviad Glickman and Attila Sofalvi)
