MK Tibi: 'Shalit law' will compromise release efforts

Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) criticized a decision made by the Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs approving the "Shalit law" which aggravates Hamas prisoners' confinement conditions and said it would compromise efforts to release the captive soldier.
MK Tibi noted that the Shalit affair has only one solution: "An exchange deal in which Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for Shalit" and added "A state which is a member of international conventions cannot behave in such a way." (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
