President's Residence denies Guardian report
The President's Residence strongly denied the report published in British newspaper the Guardian, according to which Israel offered to sell South Africa's apartheid regime nuclear warheads while Shimon Peres served as defense minister.
"We regret that the newspaper did not find it right to ask for an official response and examine the facts with official Israeli sources." Other sources added that "there is not doubt these papers that allegedly document a nuclear missiles sales deal are completely fabricated." (Ronen Medzini)
