Barak, Suleiman meet in Tel Aviv: Our friendship must push for peace
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said to Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, "Egypt is the biggest and the most important of the Arab states to make peace with Israel and is a central pillar in the reality of the Middle East and Africa."
At the beginning of his meeting with Suleiman in Tel Aviv, Barak added, "We look forward to practical and fruitful talks, both on the political front and on the agreements and challenges in the region." Suleiman said, "Our friendship must push peace forward." (Attila Somfalvi)
