US, S. Korea eye anti-sub, maritime drills

The Pentagon said a joint anti-submarine exercise announced earlier on Monday by South Korea would take place "in the near future" and added that talks were also underway about maritime interdiction drills.
The moves are part of the response to the sinking of a South Korean warship in March, killing 46 sailors. South Korea and the United States blame the incident on a North Korean torpedo attack. (Reuters)
