Medical Association asks State to retrieve Health Basket funds
None
Israel's Medical Association has requested the State Prosecutor's Office to retrieve the NIS 65 million (roughly $17 million) which were taken out the Health Basket budget for the funding of children's dental care. The request comes following a High Court of Justice ruling revoking the government's decision on the matter which it deemed in violation of the National Health Insurance Law.
The decision was initiated by Deputy Health Minister Yakov Litzman in December 2009 and was voted on by ministers over the phone. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
