White House: Abbas to visit Obama soon

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit US President Barack Obama soon, the White House said on Wednesday.

"The president looks forward to a visit from President Abbas in the near future. We're just working out timing," White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said. The Obama administration earlier on Wednesday invited Israeli Prime Benjamin Netanyahu to meet Obama at the White House on Tuesday. (Reuters)
