Israeli hiker killed in Slovenian Alps

A 27-year-old Israeli hiker was killed during a trek in the Slovenian Alps, Ynet reported Saturday.
The man, Yakir Shamai, who resided in central Israel, has been missing for two weeks.
His body was found over the weekend by a police helicopter conducting a search of the area. Authorities do no suspect foul play, and believe that he either slipped or hiked in inclement weather conditions.
The man's family has been notified, and it remains unclear when his body will be airlifted to Israel.
On Wednesday 23-year-old Adi Farran of Beersheba was killed while backpacking in Bolivia when his ATV fell into an abyss at Moon Valley near the capital La Paz.
