Netanyahu: Soldiers were forced to defend themselves
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently visiting Canada, stressed Monday that IDF troops were forced to use force against Gaza sail activists after they refused to cooperate and attacked the soldiers.
"The soldiers were beat up, stabbed, there were even gunshot sounds, and they were forced to defend themselves. Unfortunately, approximately 10 people were killed during the conflict," Netanyahu said. The prime minister stressed that Israel must maintain the situation which prevents explosive materials from reaching the Gaza Strip. (Ynet)
