Livni: Soldiers must not be center of debate on IDF operation

Opposition Chairperson Tzipi Livni visited the soldiers who were wounded during the IDF raid on the Gaza flotilla and said they must not be at the center of the debate surrounding Israel's operational methods during the raid which left nine activists dead.
"I met young patriots, who don't feel their own physical pain but the pain of international criticism directed at us," she said during her meeting with the Czech senate chairman. "While there are certainly questions that demand an answer, we need to ask about the decision-making process and Israel's political situation. The soldiers must not be the focus of the debate."
