The Prime Minister's Office has rejected claims by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu suggesting the Navy raid led to a cancellation of his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the latter's Washington visit. According to Davutoglu, Netanyahu was expected to discuss with him the resumption of indirect contacts between Israel and Syria.
"No meeting was arranged between the Turkish foreign minister and Prime Minister Netanyahu in Washington. Israel has been calling on Syria to enter into immediate negotiations with no preconditions since the government's fist day," a statement noted. (Roni Sofer)
