The UN Security Council is scheduled to convene Monday night to vote on a draft of a resolution sanctioning Iran for its nuclear program.
Earlier US State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said the resolution would be put to a vote this week. "We plan to submit this matter to the council this week," Crowley told a press conference. On Wednesday he stated that the United States was hoping for a vote no later than June 21. (AFP)
