Police chief: Public will determine level of crime it can tolerate
Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen said Wednesday, "The issue of violence is a national one. I don't believe we can reach zero violence but we can reach a level of crime the public could tolerate in an integrated effort."
Speaking at a City without Violence conference in Eilat Cohen added, "The public itself will determine the level of suffering. Police are Israeli society's emergency room." (Ilana Curiel)
