Iranian opposition leaders said they have cancelled a march scheduled to take place in Tehran to mark one year since the riots that broke out following Iran's presidential elections.
"In order to avoid danger to life and public property, we announce that the march will not take place," said Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi. They added that the "lies and threats" will not succeed in suppressing the popular protest of opposition supporters. During last year's riots, dozens were killed during clashes with government security forces. (Dudi Cohen)
