EU source: Further sanctions against Iran being considered
An EU diplomatic source said that Europe is considering imposing additional sanctions against Iran, beyond the sanctions recently agreed upon by the UN Security Council.
EU diplomats discussed the issue during a meeting in Brussels, and further high-level meetings are expected. Earlier, the US Congress announced progress in the imposition of harsher sanctions, and called on other states to do the same. (AFP)
