US appoints coordinator for Iran, N. Korea sanctions

The Obama administration says a State Department adviser on arms control will lead US efforts to enforce sanctions against North Korea and Iran.
The State Department said Thursday in a statement that Robert Einhorn will direct US efforts to make sure the UN Security Council sanctions aimed at nuclear programs in North Korea and Iran are working. He will also continue to advise Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on nonproliferation issues. (AP)
