Opposition Chairwoman Tzipi Livni said, "The capacity of accepting the other is part of our national resilience."
In statements made before the kickoff of the official Gay Pride Parade in Meir Park in Tel Aviv, Livni added, "Defending the gay community must be a mission of free society and its leadership. The leadership must not be afraid of prejudice, but rather must fight them." (Yoav Zitun)
