Iranian lawmaker trio plan to leave for Gaza

An Iranian semi-official news agency says three Iranian lawmakers plan to visit Gaza. The trip is likely meant as an expression of support for Gaza's militant Hamas rulers. Iran considers Israel its archenemy.
The Mehr news agency on Monday quoted lawmaker Mahmoud Ahmadi Bighash as saying he and two other lawmakers would travel to Gaza by way of Egypt later this week. Bighash says some 200 out of 290 Iranian lawmakers had wanted to make the visit but the three-man team will go instead. (AP)
