Yishai: High Court ruling a serious blow to status quo

Shas Chairman Eli Yishai said the High Court ruling to cancel yeshiva students' assured income was "a serious blow to the people of Israel's spiritual status quo."

Addressing Justice Edmond Levy, who voted against the decision, Yishai said that "there was one lonely voice heard in the courtroom which spoke of the importance of studying Torah. As this was a minority opinion, the Knesset will fix this perception." (Ronen Medzini)
