Egypt to draft new law on remarriage for Copts
Egypt's Justice Ministry on Monday announced it is drafting a new law to regulate marriage and divorce for the country's religious minorities, following an outcry over a court decision that would allow Christians to remarry.
Assistant Justice Minister Omar el-Sherif said that a 30-member committee will take a month to compose the draft bill. He says the law will not encroach on beliefs of any of the country's religious groups. (AP)
