Some 200 haredim riot in J'lem
Some 200 haredim protested in the Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem on Monday and tried to block Haim Bar-Lev Street in the city, but were stopped by police and special patrol unit officers.
In response, the haredim hurled stones at the security forces, who responded with water cannons and dispersed the rioters. The haredim were protesting plans to relocate ancient graves in Jaffa, and were demonstrating against the fact that senior rabbis had been sprayed with pepper spray. (Shmulik Grossman)
