The Gush Katif Settlers' Committee has announced that the serious failures in dealing with the disengagement evacuees stemmed from the fact that Israeli governments have not given the matter an urgent national task status.
In a press conference with several right-wing Knesset members, committee chairman Doron Ben Shlomi said, "We have no joy today. The communities and evacuees have been paying the price for the last five years. Nevertheless, we feel we have reached the beginning or the end of a certain chapter." (Shmulik Grossman)
