Ahmadinejad: Sanctions bring Israel closer to its demise

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the main reason behind the sanctions imposed on Tehran by the UN Security Council last week was to "save the Zionist regime from the pressure of global public opinion."
Ahmadinejad added that the United States and its ally believe that "they can save Israel by approving the anti-Iranian resolution, but this will only bring this criminal regime closer to its demise." (Dudi Cohen)
