Peres on flotilla: Good policies are best PR

President Shimon Peres spoke at the 36th Zionist Congress and said the world's perception of what occurred during an IDF raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla was "the opposite of the truth".
"Public relations are important, but good policies are the best PR," he said. "The postponement of peace will raise its price and create a space for political pressure on Israel. We need to start talking, indirectly and directly, and others will find we are not the ones threatening peace." (Ynet)
