Report: Egypt refuses to stop Iranian sail to Gaza
Egyptian authorities have rejected Israel's request not to assist in any way the Iranian ships which Tehran plans to deploy to the Gaza Strip in the coming days, Kuwaiti newspaper al-Dar cited Egyptian sources as saying.
According to the report, Cairo rejected the request claiming it cannot prevent any ship from passing through the Suez Canal due to international agreements. The report added that Cairo hopes to avoid standing in the way of Arab countries that wish to send aid to the Palestinian people as long as the siege on the Gaza Strip continues. (Roee Nahmias)
