UN rights body wants probe of Kyrgyz unrest

The UN's top human rights body has urged Kyrgyzstan to conduct a "full and transparent investigation" into the unrest in the Central Asian nation and hold those responsible to account.

The Human Rights Council says it is "deeply concerned" at the loss of life that occurred on April 7 during demonstrations that led to the toppling of the Kyrgyz government. (AP)
