Mitchell discusses peace talks with Mubarak in Cairo

US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday and discussed ways to promote peace talks in the region.
During a press conference in Cairo, Mitchell reiterated the White House stance and hailed the Israeli decision to ease the blockade on Gaza and added that the current state cannot go on any longer. (AFP)
