Kyrgyzstan extends state of emergency by 6 days

Kyrgyzstan's provisional government declared it will extend the state of emergency in the city of Osh until June 25.
Ethnic rioting began in the south of the country and has since spread to other cities. Over 2,000 people were reportedly killed so far, and the UN estimated some one million Kyrgyzstanis are in need of humanitarian help. (AFP)
