Contractors petition against deportation of foreign workers

The Contractors & Builders Association has filed a petition with the High Court of Justice motioning to revoke the government's decision to reduce the number of quotas for foreign workers in the construction field from 8,000 workers to 5,000.

The petitioners also demand to stop the deportation of 3,000 migrant workers at the end of the month following the decision. The contractors claim there are not enough Israeli workers trained for construction work and are motioning to freeze the deportation until Israeli workers have been trained. (Tani Goldstein)
