Mental health treatment reforms re-approved

The Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs re-approved the reforms to mental health support system, according to which responsibility for treatment of the mentally sick will be transferred from the Health Ministry to the HMOs.
The plan is expected to more than double the number of patients receiving treatment in the community. The reforms will take four years to implement. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
