Bronislaw Komorowski, the candidate of Poland's ruling pro-business Civic Platform party (PO), won most votes in Sunday's presidential election but not enough to avoid a run-off next month, several exit polls showed.
Komorowski, the speaker of Poland's lower house of parliament, won 41 percent of the vote and his nearest rival, conservative Jaroslaw Kaczynski, 36 percent, according to TNS OBOP pollster reported by TVP public television. Two other polls gave Komorowski a bigger lead. (Reuters)
