North Korean state TV says it will broadcast the team's World Cup encounter with Portugal live in what is to believed to be a first for an international football match from abroad. Korean Central Broadcasting in Pyongyang announced Monday that the match in Cape Town, South Africa, would air on Monday evening for the domestic audience.
North Korea has a team at the World Cup for the first time in 44 years. The broadcast of the team's 2-1 loss to five-time champion Brazil last week in Johannesburg was delayed. The last time Portugal and North Korea played was in the quarterfinals of the 1966 World Cup in England. Portugal rallied from three goals down to win that match 5-3. (AP)
