Peace Now denounces King's Garden plan in Jerusalem
Peace Now Secretary-General Yariv Oppenheimer denounced the decision to approve the King's Garden plan in Jerusalem and said, "Nir Barkat is being irresponsible and could ignite an intifada in Jerusalem."
Oppenheimer further added, "The planning committee is seriously compromising the State of Israel's political interests and playing into the hands of those who hate us in the world." As part of the plan, 22 houses of Arab residents in the al-Bustan neighborhood will be demolished in favor of an archeological site. (Ronen Medzini)
