Netanyahu to meet Shalit's grandfather Tuesday

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to meet Tuesday with Zvi Shalit, grandfather of captive soldier Gilad Shalit, the head of the national information directorate, Nir Hefetz, said Monday.
"The prime minister respects and appreciates the public battle for Gilad Shalit and hugs together with the people of Israel the Shalit family, feels their pain, and understands profoundly the horrible suffering they are undergoing. The prime minister would like to stress that efforts to retrieve Gilad are ongoing by the defense establishment, far from the eyes of the press," Hefetz said in a statement. (Roni Sofer)
