Barak: Silwan plan can wait if political circumstances require

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that the construction plan approved in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan could be delayed "if required by the political circumstances." He said he planned to discuss the matter with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Barak told his associates that the plan "has been waiting for its construction for 3,000 years and it can wait three more months or four more quarters if required by the political circumstances and for Israel's sake. It's a matter of common sense." (Roni Sofer)
