IAEA agrees to civilian nuclear reactors in Egypt

International Atomic Energy Agency Chairman Yukiya Amano said that the IAEA is willing to cooperate with Egyptian plans to build civilian nuclear reactors on its soil.
Amano spoke at a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Aboul Gheit. Egypt announced in the past its intentions to build four nuclear power plants by 2025 in order to cut down on its oil and gas consumption. (Roee Nahmias)
