Court extends Makhoul's remand until end of proceedings

Haifa District Court ordered that the remand of Ameer Makhoul, suspected of espionage, be extended until the end of legal proceedings against him. The decision was made on agreement between Makhoul's legal counsel and the prosecution on the condition that alleged evidence and reasonable cause for arrest be agreed upon.
Makhoul was arrested two months ago. An indictment was issued against him a month ago claiming that he spied for Hezbollah, and provided the terrorist organization with information gathered from observations of IDF, Shin Bet, and Mossad bases. (Ahiya Raved)
