Obama's pick for transport security wins Senate OK

The US Senate approved President Barack Obama's pick to head the Transportation Security Administration on Friday after the first two candidates withdrew amid concerns about their background.

 

John Pistole, who previously served as deputy director of the FBI, will now oversee transportation security at US airports and ports, including the screening of passengers and luggage. (Reuters)
