An Afghan army driver was killed when an anti-personnel mine in his vehicle accidentally detonated on Saturday, police said. The blast, near Afghanistan's foreign ministry, was initially thought to have been caused by a suicide bomber or taliban attack.
"Our understanding is that an anti-personnel mine was detonated while it was being carried in an ANA (Afghan National Army) vehicle," an ISAF spokesman said. (Reuters)
