Shimon Peres said during a meeting with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's comments vis-à-vis the Iranian nuclear program should not be taken lightly.
"Up until now Russia had doubts about Iran's capability to develop a nuclear bomb. Medvedev's statement has a serious element of change and Israel appreciates this development," Peres said. The Russian president expressed concerns over CIA estimates that the Islamic Republic has enough enriched uranium to develop two nuclear bombs. (Roni Sofer)
