Military police arrest officer who deserted to US in 2006

An officer who postponed his military service and left to the United States in 2006 was arrested for desertion, after he refused to return to Israel.
The officer, ranked major, was arrested upon his return and the Jaffa military court extended his remand by three days. (Hanan Greenberg)
